I’m Katie – the face behind The Roaming Kiln!

My love for pottery painting began as a Christmas tradition with my own children. Each year we’d decorate keepsakes together, and I soon realised how special it was to capture those tiny handprints and create lasting memories. That tradition sparked the idea to share the experience with others – and The Roaming Kiln was born.

Now, I bring pottery painting to baby groups, workplaces, community spaces, and private events, making it easy and fun for everyone to get creative. From tiny handprints transformed into heartfelt keepsakes, to relaxed sip-and-paint evenings with friends, I love helping people slow down, connect, and create something meaningful.

As a busy mum of three, I know how precious those little moments are. My mobile studio means I can come to you with everything needed for a relaxed, creative experience – leaving you with beautiful keepsakes and happy memories.

The best part of what I do? Seeing the joy on someone’s face when they hold their finished piece, whether it’s a baby’s first bauble or a hand-painted mug made with love.
